First registered in February 1974 and finished in Olympic Blue, the Mexico was kept by its original owner until 1981 and subsequently sold to its second owner who kept the car for over 27 years.

During the 1980’s and 90’s the Mexico competed in various Rally events, RAC certification record being kept.

In 2009, the current and third owner found the car through his Ford enthusiast contacts and began the restoration program which would take him seven years to complete.
