Delivered new on 4th October 1972 and finished in Glacier White with Blue interior. This delightful Round-arch Midget has in the last four years been subject to an extensive father and son rebuild. The scope of work being listed below.
Bodywork:
A total strip down to bare metal and professionally resprayed, new Heritage panels being fitted, including:
- Both front wings
- Battery tray.
- Complete front nose cone.
Engine & transmission:
- Full engine rebuild
- Flat top pistons
- Unleaded head conversion with new valves and guides
- Mild Kent road camshaft
- New oil pump and oil cooler
- Rebuilt SU carburettors
- New radiator and electric cooling fan.
- Rebuilt gearbox including bearings and front seals
- Clutch assembly including master and slave cyinders
- Maniflow Sebring exhaust with sports tubular manifold
Running gear, suspension, brakes and wheels:
- Front and rear suspension rebuilt
- New wishbones
- New bushes & kingpins
- New Wheel bearings
- New brake master cylinder including all brake pipes
- New front callipers, discs and pads
- New rear cylinders and shoes
- Competition coil springs
- Rear adjustable Spax shock absorbers
- New Minilite centre lock wheels
- New Continental tyres.
Electrics:
- Electronic ignition
- Complete Heritage loom
- Custom loom built for both sets of Cibie spot lights
- New alternator, replacing the original dynamo
As you can see, no expense has been spared during the process and the cost of labour and sum of parts far outweighs the advertised price. The Midget has just passed its MOT with no advisories to report and is ready to be enjoyed by its next fortunate owner.
