Launched in 1999 with a production run of 10 years, the Honda S2000 received wide acclaim from the critics and motoring journalists world-wide. The F20C engine was ranked as the best engine respective of its size for five consecutive years between 2000 and 2005.
Eager to ensure securing one of the first UK allocated car’s the first owner placed a substantial deposit with his local Honda dealer John Banks Honda on 26th October 2008. Ordered in Berlina Black with Red leather. A rare hard-back sales brochure was provided adding to his anticipation. Almost one year later on 22nd October 2009, the car was collected and registered with his DVLA select registration V7ECS.
A hard top was subsequently ordered along with its correct stand. Additionally a Clifford alarm fitted, the instruction manual for both still safely kept.
In August 2000 a Titanium coated S2000 pen was gifted by Honda UK as an appreciation of the owner’s patience after supplying a modified tonneau cover under warranty. The pen is unused and remains in its presentation box, complete with two additional refills. Not something you often see.
During the following years – almost 23 from first registration, the car has been meticulously maintained, both by Honda and his local garage for regular lubrication services, despite infrequent use.
All MOT’s have been kept in the comprehensive vehicle history folder, including the first three pre-VOSA, the dates and mileages as follows:
All subsequent VOSA MOT’s are published on-line and the original printed certificates are included in the vehicle file.
In May 2022, the second owner took custody of the car, and despite very occasional use, the car was serviced by his local Honda dealer in May 2023 and May 2024, the mileage being 37020 miles and 37275 respectfully. Additionally, a brand new soft top with the modified glass rear window was fitted due to the discolouration of the plastic rear screen.
A tough decision to part with this gorgeous S2000 was recently made and we are both proud and excited to offer what must be one of the very first AP1’s registered in the UK. The colour combination is stunning and the overall condition will delight its fortunate new owner.
