VEHICLE OVERVIEW

First registered in March 1970, this highly modified 2002 has been in the hands of a car and racing enthusiast for the last 3 decades. Being one of 4 Race/Rally cars he successfully competed in Club Rally events across Europe, predominantly in Spain and Portugal.

The car is currently registered on Spanish historic plates being a significant plus should the car return to Spain.

The modifications consist of:

  • Alpina style widened Cologne Arches
  • Alpina livery including instrument panel
  • Roll cage
  • Race bucket seats with harnesses
  • Strengthening braces
  • Uprated shock absorbers and competition springs
  • High compression pistons
  • Modified and gas flowed cylinder head
  • Fast road high lift camshaft
  • Twin Webber 45’s
  • Uprated fuel pump with dash mounted kill switch

  • Quick shift gear linkage

A comprehensive overhaul of the fuelling system along with a gear change linkage rebuild has recently been conducted by West-Tuning in Thruxton, Andover, being highly rated in the racing community. The rolling road results being 161.9BHP at the wheels.

The car would make an ideal starting point for someone looking to compete in historic club road rallying. The clutch being light to handle and the fast road cam being very easy to live with.
