1995 Porsche 993 RS Clubsport Evocation. A stunning and highly accurate build.
The 911 Carrera RS celebrated its world premiere at the 1995 Amsterdam Auto Show, as an exclusive racer for street and sport. Customer deliveries commenced in May 1995. Porsche were required to build the 1. 000 examples necessary for homologation in the national N/ GT competition class and a total of 1, 104 units was the final production run.
Additionally, Porsche made 227 track-oriented Clubsport versions. The Clubsport was based on the Carrera Cup competition car and specifically conceived as a FIA GT2 homologation special, fitted with the 3, 746cc Varioram intake unit and developing 300BHP. Externally, the RS Clubsport carried a larger rear wing and deeper chin spoiler then the regular Carrera RS giving it a more aggressive and focused look.
Built on a 1995 factory C16 UK Speed Yellow C2 Coupe. An extensive, no- expense spared build was conducted over a three year period commencing 2014 and consisting of:
• ECU upgrade to 300BHP
• Complete bare metal respray with all windows and panels removed
• RS/ R style front and rear spoilers
• RS Side skirts
• 993 RS Speedline alloys with correct 993 part numbers, refurbished and shod with Michelin Pilot tyres
• Sunroof delete
• Headlight washer jet delete
• Schroth harness 4 point with additional belts supplied if 6 required
• Recaro Pole position cloth bucket seats
• Welded-in cage by Custom Cages
• RS Steering wheel and gear knob
• Brake cooling ducts with fog lights
• RS Big Redd brakes
• Kevlar honeycombe floor and trunk boards
• Carbon fibre roll cage protectors
• Custom made door cards with contrast yellow stitching
• Firesense extinguisher
As you can see from the photographs, the car is a total head-turner, stunning and accurate in virtually every dimension. The paintwork is flawless and the underside is in excellent order.
The history is highly comprehensive with an accompanying custom made folder and plaque.
